How to write a post that actually ranks
This page is the article template. Copy the file, change the title, the canonical URL, the structured data and the body — everything else already works.
Start with the question your reader typed
The first paragraph should answer the search query directly. Readers who have to scroll to find out whether they are in the right place leave, and a high bounce rate hurts both your ranking and your ad revenue.
Write the answer first, then the explanation. Save the story for the end.
Use real headings
Headings are how search engines build a table of contents for your page, and how a
skimming reader decides to stay. Each h2 should make sense on its own.
Code blocks work out of the box
pip install projectname
projectname init
projectname run --config ./conf.yaml
So do lists and tables
- Aim for 800–1,500 words on tutorial posts.
- Link to two or three of your own pages in every article.
- Add one image per major section — it keeps readers scrolling.
| Post type | Effort | Traffic potential |
|---|---|---|
| Tutorial | High | High, long-lived |
| Release notes | Low | Low but steady |
| Comparison | Medium | Highest |
Close with one next step
End every article with a single link: install the project, read the docs, or join the community. One choice converts better than three.
